After the New York Knicks traded Cam Reddish, Svi Mykhailiuk, and Ryan Arciadiacono to the Trail Blazers for Josh Hart, the front office made no other moves ahead of the deadline to fill the two open roster spots.

New York’s front office hasn’t yet added any players via the buyout market, either. DaQuan Jeffries, who is a two-way player, has been listed as an internal candidate to fill one of the two spots, but that hasn’t been formally announced. He’s a player that impressed Tom Thibodeau in training camp, so he very well could be the next addition to the roster.

Whether that happens or not, though, it’s worth looking at which players are still available on the buyout market as of Tuesday evening.

Which players are still left on buyout market for Knicks to sign?

In the past few days, Kevin Love and the Cavaliers agreed to a buyout and he signed with the Heat. Russell Westbrook and the Jazz are finalizing a buyout and he plans to sign with the Clippers. Patrick Beverley and the Magic are finalizing a buyout and he plans to sign with the Bulls. All three of those players were big names on the buyout market, but now they’re off the Knicks’ radar.

Here are the most notable players that are still left on the buyout market or are expected to be bought out:

  • Will Barton (bought out by the Wizards on Monday)
  • John Wall (expected to be bought out by the Rockets)
  • Khem Birch (expected to be bought out by the Spurs)
  • Juan Toscano-Anderson (expected to be bought out by the Jazz)
  • Dario Saric (expected to be bought out by the Thunder)
  • Thaddeus Young (expected to be bought out by the Raptors)
  • Nerlens Noel (expected to be bought out by the Pistons)
  • Cory Joseph (expected to be bought out by the Pistons)
  • Kevin Knox (expected to be bought out by the Trail Blazers)
  • Richaun Holmes (expected to be bought out by the Kings)
  • Furkan Kormaz (expected to be bought out by the Sixers)
  • Alex Len (expected to be bought out by the Kings)
  • Svi Mykhailiuk (expected to be bought out by the Hornets)

Derrick Rose could be bought out by the Knicks, but based on what he and Tom Thibodeau have said, the 34-year-old veteran may remain in New York for the remainder of the season.

Looking at that list, there are no big names that stand out for the Knicks. The team doesn’t need another guard given that Rose and Evan Fournier spend the majority of their time stashed on the bench.

Juan Toscano-Anderson is an option that’s worth looking into and it helps that he was part of Golden State’s championship run last season. That experience could be handy for a New York team that hasn’t made it past the second round of the playoffs in this decade. But truthfully, none of the players listed above would move the needle for the Knicks, but they still need to fill their roster spots.

Will DaQuan Jeffries be added to the roster? Or will the front office opt to fill both roster spots in the buyout market?
