On Friday, 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend will officially kick off in Salt Lake City. The New York Knicks will be represented by Quentin Grimes in the Rising Stars Tournament on Feb. 17, Jericho Sims in the Slam Dunk Contest on Feb. 18, and Julius Randle in the All-Star Game on Feb. 19.

The roster for Team LeBron and Team Giannis will be revealed on Sunday before the All-Star Game when both captains draft players for their teams. The draft will be aired on TNT.

Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, and Zion Williamson were named starters, but will not play due to being injured. Joel Embiid, Lauri Markkanen, and Ja Morant will replace Durant, Curry, and Williamson in the starting lineup. Pascal Siakam, Anthony Edwards, and De’Aaron Fox were named as injury replacements.

Jaylen Brown could miss the All-Star Game after sustaining a facial fracture, but he’s currently listed as day-to-day. If he isn’t able to play, Jalen Brunson could be added as an injury replacement. He’d have to compete with players like James Harden and Trae Young for the open shot, but Brunson’s proven that he deserves to be in Utah.
