Whether you like it or not, Knicks fans, Cam Reddish is likely spending his final days in New York. Even with the Knicks dealing with injuries over the past two months, the 23-year-old hasn’t played since Dec. 3.

It’s been over a year since New York sent a protected first-round pick and Kevin Knox (a 2018 lottery pick) to Atlanta for Reddish. His stint with the Knicks hasn’t gone the way that fans hoped that it would, opening the door for the 2019 lottery pick to soon join his third team.

New York reportedly set Reddish’s value at a couple of second-round picks and teams such as the Bucks and Heat have expressed interest in the forward. Based on SNY’s Ian Begley’s latest report, the best team in the Western Conference and the worst team in the Eastern Conference are interested in Reddish, too.

Nuggets and Pistons have reportedly expressed interest in a Knicks’ Cam Reddish trade

Ian Begley reported that the Nuggets have “registered some interest” in Cam Reddish, but that the Pistons have “more recently” had talks with the Knicks about trading for him.

Begley noted that perhaps Saddiq Bey, a player that New York is reportedly interested in, could be included in a possible Knicks-Pistons trade involving Reddish. A swap would work financially and is something that New York would likely love to do, but there’s reason to believe that Detroit would be looking for more in a Bey trade.

As for Denver, the team could use Reddish’s defense off the bench as they gear up for what they hope to be a deep playoff run led by Nikola Jokic. The Nuggets are shopping their 2022 first-round pick Bones Hyland, who hasn’t played since Jan. 31. A Hyland-Reddish swap would work financially as well, but Denver wouldn’t do that. Hyland reportedly wants a larger role on another team, but he likely wouldn’t get that in New York. He’s a good shooter but is a liability on defense.

Regardless, Cam Reddish will almost certainly be on a new team in less than 48 hours. It would be interesting to see how he would perform with the Nuggets, but out of these two teams, he’s likelier to end up on the Pistons.
