If you’re a New York Knicks fans that’s still holding onto the hope that Cam Reddish will stay with the team, it’s past time for you to prepare to say goodbye to the forward. Reddish hasn’t played in a game since Dec. 3 and with the trade deadline being only three weeks away, the 23-year-old is on his way out.

The Knicks have dealt with a series of injuries over the past few weeks, but Reddish has remained sidelined. Evan Fournier received minutes over Reddish, so that should tell you all that you need to know about the former lottery pick’s future. You can place the blame on Tom Thibodeau, but it’s been made clear that New York wants to move on from Reddish.

On Wednesday, NBA insider Marc Stein reported (subscription required) that along with the Lakers and Bucks, the Mavericks have expressed interest in Reddish. Stein wrote that the Knicks are reportedly eyeing Reggie Bullock, who spent two seasons in New York before signing with Dallas.

Assuming that Reddish will be traded to one of the three above teams, let’s rank each possible destination with No. 1 being the most likely team that he’ll be traded to. Of course, this is nothing more than speculation.

Where will Knicks trade 23-year-old forward Cam Reddish?

3: Milwaukee Bucks

For all of the Cam Reddish fans, Milwaukee would be an ideal destination for the young forward because he’d be in a position to play a key role off the bench for a contender. However, it’d be difficult to see the Knicks trading Reddish to an Eastern Conference opponent although the Bucks have several second-round picks that they could offer New York. If Milwaukee is truly interested in Reddish, sweetening the deal would help.

In theory, Milwaukee’s draft capital should make the Bucks the most probable landing spot for Reddish. Along with that, they could certainly use a 3-and-D wing and given the Knicks’ low asking price for Reddish, Milwaukee wouldn’t have to worry about breaking the bank for him. It would be a win-win scenario for a team that’s hoping to make a deep playoff run that results in a second title in three seasons.

After a shaky start to his career, Cam Reddish could end up thriving in Wisconsin.
