The 18-18 New York Knicks will have another opportunity to snap their losing streak against one of the worst teams in the Western Conference in the 10-25 Houston Rockets. The latest odds favor the Knicks, who have lost five in a row.

The Rockets have won only one of their last eight games with their most recent loss coming to the Mavericks on Thursday. As things currently stand, Houston sits at the bottom of the West and is the third-worst team in the league behind the Hornets and Pistons. The most interesting news regarding the Rockets is that James Harden is reportedly considering returning to Houston during the offseason.

This is a game that the Knicks need to win before returning to New York to host the Suns. Although the Knicks will certainly be without RJ Barrett, there’s a chance that Jalen Brunson will return after missing the past two games with a hip injury. If he’s back in the starting lineup, this game should be a relatively easy one for New York.

Will the Knicks be able to get back on track with a win over the struggling Rockets? Or will Houston manage to pull off the win as San Antonio did on Thursday?

New York Knicks vs. Houston Rockets Odds, Spread, Over/Under

The latest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook have New York as -4 favorites against the spread, with the team -110 to cover. The Knicks are -180 on the moneyline and the Rockets are +152. The over/under is set for 223.5 points.

Knicks Injury Report

New York will be without RJ Barrett (finger) and Obi Toppin (lower leg). Jalen Brunson (hip) is listed as questionable.

New York Knicks vs. Houston Rockets Prediction

Even with how New York has been playing as of late, Houston has been playing worse. The Rockets have one of the worst offensive ratings (109.5) and defensive ratings (115.7) in the league. On top of that, Houston is one of the youngest teams in the league with an average age of 23.5 points, and is in the race for Victor Wembanyama.

Whether Brunson sits out or not for a third straight game shouldn’t matter too much given the Rockets’ track record this season. New York needs to win this one if only to boost their confidence, and that should be what happens.
