It wasn’t easy, but the New York Knicks pushed their win streak to five with a 128-120 overtime W over the Bulls on Wednesday night. New York now has a 15-13 record and is one game back from the No. 5 Philadelphia Sixers in the East.
Julius Randle continued his hot streak with 31 points (8-of-19) to go along with 13 rebounds and seven assists. He’s scored 30+ points in four of the Knicks’ last eight games. Jalen Brunson was right behind Randle with 30 points (11-of-21), seven assists, and two rebounds. He was listed as questionable with a foot contusion after getting injured in New York’s win over Sacramento on Sunday. His availability changed everything.
The Knicks will remain in Chicago to prepare to take on the Bulls for a second straight game on Friday night at United Center.

Five wins in a row and we are just getting started. We’re going to win so much, you’re going to be so sick and tired of WINNING!

Yeeessssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!

Big time 3 by Quinton Grimes, then the crossover and pull-up 3 by @jalenbrunson1 — leaving Alex Caruso sliding all over the place The @nyknicks have won 5 straight. Okay…I’m feeling good. I’m feeling good. But I’m gonna stay calm.
It’s actually Quentin, but okay. Oh, and speaking of Quentin, here’s him knocking down a huge three to the tune of Mike Breen’s infamous BANG!

When @J30_RANDLE @RjBarrett6 and #Brunson are playing like this it’s pretty great.

You’re right, Ben. New York’s trio of Randle (31), Brunson (30), and Barrett (22) combined for 83 points.

Let Jalen cook! He should’ve touched the ball in New York’s final play in regulation rather than have Randle stand there for 24 seconds. Tom Thibodeau isn’t known as an offensive mastermind.

Sorry not sorry, Alex Caruso, but Brunson owns the state of Illinois. The point guard was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in his junior and senior seasons at Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, Illinois.
Just for fun, here’s the Celine Dion version of Brunson’s three.
I had to do this @nyknicks

To wrap things up, here’s a hot take that isn’t so hot.
The statement that Jalen Brunson made with that shot is that New York pizza is better than Chicago’s
— Daily Knicks (@DailyKnicksFS) December 15, 2022
Not only is New York’s basketball team better than Chicago’s, but the pizza is better, too. Let’s hope that the Knicks keep this same energy in their second matchup against the Bulls.

Why Knicks CAA ties could land blossoming star via trade
One of the season's new 20-point scorers could be on the trade market, and the latest rumors peg the New York Knicks as a potential landing spot.
