The New York Knicks (11-13) will finish off their four-game homestand by hosting the Atlanta Hawks (13-11) on Wednesday night. The latest odds favor the Knicks.

The Hawks are dealing with some Trae Young drama after the guard and head coach Nate McMillan got into a dispute during shootaround last Friday. Young was dealing with a nagging shoulder injury and McMillan reportedly gave him an ultimatum of either playing off the bench later that night or don’t show up to State Farm Arena. Young went with the latter option and missed Atlanta’s 117-109 win over Denver.

In the Knicks’ first meeting with the Hawks on Nov. 2, New York lost a 23-point lead behind Dejounte Murray’s 36 points to lose by 13, 112-99.

The Knicks have had two days of rest in contrast to the Hawks’ one day of rest after losing to the Thunder on Monday, 121-114. New York is coming off a 92-81 win over Cleveland, so will the Knicks be able to win their second straight on Wednesday? Or will the Young-Murray duo be too much for New York’s struggling defense?

New York Knicks vs Atlanta Hawks Odds, Spread, Over/Under

The latest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook have the Knicks as the -2 favorite with the team -108 to cover. New York is -120 on the moneyline and Atlanta is +102. The over/under is set for 232 points.

Knicks Injury Report

Ryan Arcidiacono (ankle) has missed New York’s last three games.

New York Knicks vs Atlanta Hawks Prediction

One of New York’s issues is that the roster is without a star, but Atlanta has two in Young and Murray. The former is averaging 27.6 points and the latter is averaging 21.5 points. The Knicks’ defense got lucky against the Cavaliers on Sunday as Cleveland missed wide-open shots.

Because New York has a difficult time guarding the three, this could be a big game for Bogdan Bogdanovic, who is averaging 37.5% from deep on a team-high eight attempts per game.

As much as it’d be nice for the Knicks to win this game before heading into what should be a victory on Friday in Charlotte, this game will likely result in a W for Atlanta.

Atlanta 120, New York 114
