After losing their last two games, the New York Knicks (9-11) will have an opportunity to get back on track on Tuesday night in Detroit against the Pistons (5-17). The latest odds favor New York over the last-place team in the Eastern Conference.

The Knicks and Pistons have played twice this season already with both games being played at MSG. New York beat Detroit on Oct. 21, 130-106, and again on Nov. 11, 121-112. Jalen Brunson was the Knicks’ leading scorer in the first matchup with 28 points and RJ Barrett led the way in their second meeting with 30 points.

Although the Pistons are the worst team in the conference, this isn’t a game that the Knicks should expect to win even though Detroit will be without Cade Cunningham. New York needs this win before returning to MSG to host Milwaukee, Dallas, and Cleveland.

The latest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook have the Knicks as the -5 favorite with the team -215 to cover. New York is -215 on the moneyline and Detroit is +180. The over/under is set for 226 points.

Knicks Injury Report

Immanuel Quickley (knee) was listed as questionable after leaving Sunday’s game against Memphis in the second half, but he’s available to play on Tuesday.

New York Knicks vs Detroit Pistons Prediction

The only player on the Knicks’ injury report is Quickley, while the Pistons will be without Cunningham (shin). Jaden Ivey (knee), Bojan Bogdanovic (knee/ankle), Isaiah Stewart (toe), and Marvin Bagley (migraine) are all listed as questionable. There’s a good chance that Detroit will be without multiple key players.

If that ends up being the case, this game should result in a win for New York.
