The New York Knicks (9-10) will host Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies (11-8) on Sunday evening at Madison Square Garden. The latest odds favor the No. 3 team in the West.

The Grizzlies have lost two of their last three games, with their most recent one being a 132-111 win over the Pelicans on Friday. Dillon Brooks scored a game-high 25 points (8-of-15), Ja Morant had 23 points (8-of-16) and 11 assists, while Jaren Jackson Jr. finished with 20 points (6-of-7).

New York and Memphis have already met up once this year, with the Knicks falling to the Grizzlies in overtime of both team’s season opener on Oct. 19. Cam Reddish was New York’s star of that game with 22 points off the bench. Since then, Reddish has entered the starting lineup, but he’ll be out on Sunday. His absence isn’t optimal for the Knicks, who struggled to guard Morant in their first matchup.

New York will have a chance to get revenge for the OT loss a few weeks ago, but we know how the Knicks perform against playoff-level teams.

Will they manage to find a way to improve their record against Western Conference opponents to 5-5?

New York Knicks vs Memphis Grizzlies Odds, Spread, Over/Under

The latest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook have New York as the +1.5 underdog. The Knicks are +108 on the moneyline and the Grizzlies are -126. The over/under is set for 228 points.

Knicks Injury Report

Jalen Brunson (quad), Cam Reddish (groin), and Derrick Rose (toe) are available.

New York Knicks vs Memphis Grizzlies Prediction

If Jalen Brunson doesn’t play, the Knicks will be in a tough spot. He’s been New York’s best and most consistent player this season. He’s scored 30+ points in the team’s previous two games and is averaging a career-high 21.4 points. It will be challenging for the Knicks to try to match the Grizzlies’ offensive firepower if Brunson is out. The game could get ugly without him.

Even if Brunson does play, this game will still likely result in New York’s second straight loss. The Knicks’ defense has been lackluster all season and Ja Morant, who’s averaging 28.6 points per game, could make MSG his stage. The good thing is that New York will be able to deploy Quentin Grimes on Morant.

With or without Brunson, I’m going to take Memphis in this one.

Memphis 123, New York 115
