Go for two

As I stated earlier, Barrett needs to get back to the basics. He did a bit of that against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Monday’s win. As he should always do, RJ started the game with two easy buckets, a lay-up, and a dunk that I’m sure got him energized. Barrett hit his first five shots of the game en route to a 25-point night. He even connected on three of his four three-point attempts and previously, he had only made two in the previous five games.

RJ must be relieved after last night’s performance and hopefully, he carries it into the rest of the season. But he must remember what got him going. Right now, until he gets into a rhythm, it’s best for Barrett to start as close as he can to the basket to see the ball go in. He should attack the basket, try to get to the free throw line, and utilize the mid-range. Once those start dropping, he’ll be good to launch from three!
