Knicks Game Tonight: Knicks vs Pistons Odds, Starting Lineup, Injury Report, Predictions, TV Channel for Nov. 11
By James Ryder
The New York Knicks will play against the visiting Detroit Pistons on Friday night. This game is the second time these two teams will face off this season.
If you remember, New York steamrolled Detroit 130-106 back on October 21 for the first win of the season, which occurred following the season-opening loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. Now, the Knicks hold a record of 5-6. The Pistons are 3-9 on the season and are coming off a 128-112 loss to the Boston Celtics.
The Knicks are also coming off of a loss, albeit a much, much uglier one than Detroit. New York laid bricks all night against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday on the way to a 112-85 defeat. They shot just 32% from the field and 28% from three-point range. The Knicks also didn’t play very well on defense, as Kevin Durant, Seth Curry, and even Edmond Sumner cooked them. It was a stark contrast to the beating that the Knicks put on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday.
Obviously, the team will have to shoot much better against the Pistons if they want to win. I will say that thankfully, Detroit should be an easy team to bounce back against, but Brooklyn hasn’t been a very good team either. In the NBA, you’ll almost always lose games if you’re beating yourself. The Knicks beat themselves badly in Brooklyn, and if that’s replicated then it doesn’t really matter how good or bad Detroit is.

New York Knicks vs Detroit Pistons Prediction
Just like they did last time, I am expecting the Knicks to take care of business and cruise to a win. I’m assuming that New York can’t possibly stink it up as much as the team did in Brooklyn. The Knicks have the 15th most points per game in the NBA at 112.3 and Detroit is ranked 27th in defense, giving up 118.3 PPG. The Pistons also only score 108.1 PPG (25th) themselves. I think that the Knicks will win comfortably without doing anything spectacular.
New York 119, Detroit 105
