Knicks Game Tonight: Knicks vs Timberwolves Odds, Starting Lineup, Injury Report, Prediction, TV Channel for Nov. 7
After losing their fifth regular season game on Saturday, the New York Knicks (4-5) will travel to Minnesota to face the Timberwolves (5-5).
The Timberwolves are searching to find their rhythm on the offensive end with their new roster construction. On Friday, Minnesota beat Houston by 12, 129–117. Four out of five starters scored in double figures, with center Karl-Anthony Towns leading the way with 40 points (15-for-25 from the field, 5-for-9 from three).
The Knicks are coming off a 133-118 loss to the Celtics. Julius Randle led New York with 29 points (10-for-19 from the field, 3-for-7 from three). RJ Barrett also had a productive game (9-for-15 from the field, 3-for-5 from three).
Despite the Knicks getting solid production from two of their best offensive players, the bench scoring separated these two teams. The Celtics’ bench contributed 52 points, while the Knicks got 26 points from their bench. Because the Knicks couldn’t contain the Celtics on the perimeter (27-for-51) this game turned into a blowout down the stretch.
Will the Knicks have a better defensive outing in Minnesota to improve their record to 5-5?

New York Knicks vs Minnesota Timberwolves Prediction
The Knicks are looking to improve their road record (1-3), while the Timberwolves are looking to carry their sharp shooting from Saturday into tonight’s game. The key to this game will be how the Knicks defend the three after allowing the Celtics to shoot over 50 percent. When New York has faced tougher competition this year, the team has come up short (Memphis, Cleveland, Milwaukee, and Atlanta).
The Timberwolves are searching to find their chemistry after acquiring center Rudy Gobert from the Utah Jazz. Anthony Edwards leads the team in scoring with 23.2 points and is shooting 45.7% from the field. Through their first 10 games, the Timberwolves have been inefficient and stagnant because they’re inserting a new style of play with the addition of Gobert. They rank below average in offensive efficiency because of their inability to knock down open shots.
If the Timberwolves don’t shoot well from three like they did against the Rockets, it will be a long night for them. On Friday against the Bucks at home, they only shot 11-for-41 from three.
Therefore, I think the Knicks will win this game because the Timberwolves are too inconsistent from game to game. Because Gobert will be out, this will allow the Knicks to attack the rim with no resistance, which is why I expect Barrett and Randle to have great nights.
Expect New York to bounce back and for Minnesota to continue to struggle.
