Markus Howard

I remember watching Markus Howard in college from 2016-2020. Playing for the Marquette Golden Eagles, Howard became a two-time All-American who led the country in scoring his senior year. Watching him score 30, 40, and sometimes 50 points like it was nothing made me feel like he would make noise in the league.

Unfortunately, he went undrafted in the 2020 NBA Draft, but was later picked up by the Denver Nuggets. In his two years with the Nuggets, Howard showed that he can compete at the next level.

Although, he didn’t see the court for no more than 10 minutes per game, Howard shot the three at 40%. He was even better in the playoffs, shooting the ball at 42% in nine games with Denver. The Big East all-time leading scorer is no stranger to hitting the long-range shot.

As a freshman at Marquette, he led Division 1 in three-point percentage at 55%! According to the NBA, Howard is a free agent, but he is currently playing in the EuroLeague for the Cazoo Baskonia.  They signed him to a two-year deal, but I’m sure something could be arranged to bring him to New York.
