As the 2022-23 season continues to creep closer, the NBA officially released all 30 regular season schedules on Wednesday. The New York Knicks will open up the season on Oct. 19 at Memphis, which will be one of the team’s 16 televised games.

The season has the potential to be New York’s best in a decade. With the addition of Jalen Brunson, as well as the trade rumors surrounding Donovan Mitchell, the Knicks could find their way back into the playoffs.

With a loaded Eastern Conference, the team has their work cut out for them, but in almost exactly two months, fans will get to watch the Knicks officially take the court for the first time since Apr. 10.

And after looking at the schedule, there are five games in particular that fans should be sure to not miss. Go ahead and mark your calendars.

Here are 5 Knicks games that fans need to circle on their calendars for the 2022-23 season

5: Nov. 15 – Knicks vs. Jazz

Now, you might be wondering why this game is relevant whenever Donovan Mitchell is still on the Utah Jazz with three guaranteed years left on his contract. And when you learn that the game will take place in Utah, you might be even more curious.

Well, the NBA knew what it was doing by making this Knicks-Jazz matchup nationally televised on TNT. The date will mark New York’s first time on TNT for 2022-23, and the team’s third nationally televised game of the season.

Meanwhile, the Jazz have one nationally televised game for the entirety of the season, and it seems to be no coincidence that it’ll take place against the Knicks. It appears as if the league is betting on a Spida trade to happen because why else would a game in Utah in mid-November be of any importance?

Knicks-Jazz could end up being Donovan Mitchell’s return to Utah

This game will be a must-watch not only because it could end up being Mitchell’s return to Utah, but New York fans could get to see players such as Obi Toppin play for the Jazz. And if a trade happens, you’ll need to mark Feb. 11 on your calendar as well, because that’s when Utah will be at Madison Square Garden.

This nationally televised matchup less than a month into the season has the potential to be very, very exciting.
