RJ Barrett has All-Star potential, with or without Mitchell as a teammate

The overall point is that Barrett has showcased to be good at just about everything on the basketball court, and he will continue to serve as a major component of the Knicks’ future success.

He has progressed every single season and should continue to do so next year in a much larger role.

For him and the team to be great, though, he will need to take some individual aspects of his game to new heights. His game needs to have some form of identity so that he can properly work to his strengths.

With new additions coming in and finding their roles on the team, he needs to carve out his own, whether that is as the playmaker, the wing player, or in some other capacity.

Barrett has the potential to become a perennial All-Star, but to become one of the NBA’s best players, look for him to hone his skills and finally learn who he is going to be in this league going forward.
