Although talks between the New York Knicks and Utah Jazz seemed to have died down for the moment, the idea of bringing Donovan Mitchell to New York is still a priority this offseason.

On Tuesday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that a final agreement with the Knicks and Jazz “is going to take some time.”

Patience is key for everyone involved in this trade, and that includes Knicks fans who are already saving up to pre-order a number 45 jersey.

Should Spida make his way to Madison Square Garden via a trade before the start of the 2022-23 season, New York would suddenly become a top destination for free agents and other players looking to get out of their current situations.

2023 is even more loaded than the 2022 free agent class that welcomed Jalen Brunson to the orange and blue. If Mitchell is on the Knicks by this time next year, it would open the door for another superstar to walk through the doors at 4 Pennsylvania Plaza.
