Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Arizona. player. 142. SG/SF. Bennedict Mathurin. 10

Bennedict Mathurin is another one of my favorite prospects that this draft class has to offer. OF COURSE, the Knicks miss him by one pick here in my mock draft. He is a true bucket-getter, can shoot the ball from anywhere, and has the athleticism to make poster after poster.

The Canadian-born Mathurin averaged 17.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game this past season for the Wildcats and was named Pac-12 Player of the Year. He also has that clutch gene in him as he hit a ton of big shots at Arizona. NBA executives would be foolish to pass on Mathurin.

I mean, you can just envision Mike Breen yelling “BANG” after one of these shots.

Pick Analysis. 11. player. 27. Scouting Report. C. Duke. Mark Williams

I really do like a lot of options here for New York including AJ Griffin, Ochai Agbaji, and Malaki Branham. But as much as it pains me to write this, I’m starting to believe that Mitchell Robinson and the Knicks are going to cut ties and move in separate directions. So, in comes Mark Williams.

Williams is nothing to be bummed about, though. He is a very talented center who plays extremely similar to Robinson. He can even hit a mid-range shot if needed and knocks down free throws, he shot 72.7% last season. So, New York would ultimately be getting a cheaper shot blocking and lob catching big man who has a higher ceiling than Robinson.

I also would not be shocked one bit to see the Knicks trade the pick and move down in the first round as we have seen in years past. So, if they don’t love anyone on the board at 11, keep an eye out for them to move back.
