Pick Analysis. C. Christian Koloko. Scouting Report. Arizona. 26. player. 79

The Houston Rockets just traded away Christian Wood to the Dallas Mavericks and got their first-round pick as one of the return assets. Looking at the rebuilding Rockets roster, they don’t have much of a big man down low to help rim protect and just be a presence in the post. Insert Christian Koloko.

Koloko plays amazing defense with his long arms and wingspan, he knows how to make alley-oop cuts, and he won’t get in the way of Jalen Green. In fact, a pick and roll with Koloko and Green could be an extremely effective duo in my eyes. He really could be a late-round steal for Houston.

The Rockets still have a long way to go before they can be considered contenders and a franchise center could be in store for Koloko.

SG/SF. MarJon Beauchamp. 27. 110. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. G League Ignite. player

The Miami Heat yet again had another successful season but didn’t reach the end goal of a championship. However, there is plenty to build on and be excited about down in South Beach.

We have seen now for years how effective PJ Tucker can be for a contending team, and if he opts out of his current deal he could end up elsewhere. In comes MarJon Beauchamp for Miami.

Beauchamp can be a defensive specialist with his length and ability to read steals and block shots. When Tyler Herro inevitably becomes a starter next season, the Heat need to get some more depth to bolster their second unit.

With what Miami might lose in Tucker, Beauchamp could carry on.
