2. The Knicks could trade up for the Pacers’ No. 6 pick

The Indiana Pacers had a down season in 2021-22, but with so much talent in their lineup, they have the potential to bounce back into the playoffs, especially if they can nail the offseason.

While a top five pick would be a good addition for the team, the Knicks could offer them Randle, Burks, the No. 11 pick, and a future pick or two. Given the state of their lineup, pairing Randle and No. 11 with Tyrese Haliburton, Chris Duarte, and Myles Turner would help immensely.

It’s not going to be quite that easy, as New York would most likely need to absorb Malcolm Brogdon’s contract to make it work. But having the chance to draft Sharpe, Ivey, or a choice of Holmgren, Banchero or Smith would make this worth it for the Knicks.

If New York can find its guard of the future to start alongside Quickley, while also finding a bench player in Brogdon and unloading Randle, they simply need to make it happen.

There haven’t been many indications on what Indiana is looking to do at No. 6, and while there’s a good chance that they stay put and try to pair someone with Haliburton and Duarte, the Knicks have more than enough ammunition to make this trade a genuine possibility.
