Dyson Daniels is one of the most polarizing players in the upcoming draft, as some mock drafts have him going as low as No. 20, while others see him as a true top talent in the draft. While the Knicks have plenty of other options, he could certainly step in and help the team.

We know that New York needs to figure out its point guard situation, and while many see Knicks young star Immanuel Quickley as the point guard of the future, that hasn’t yet been set in stone. So, bringing someone in with a frame of 6-6, 199 pounds would be a perfect fit in the Tom Thibodeau system.

Daniels isn’t anywhere near the finished product, but he has immense potential to go along with his size. While New York will likely have other targets at No. 11 to go after, trading back into the first round for him wouldn’t surprise anyone, as he has a great future ahead of him.

The Australian native certainly has plenty to work on, especially his 3-point shot, but with his size, age, and potential, whoever drafts him will reap the rewards if they are patient with his development and let him naturally grow into what he can become, which is a more than solid starter at the NBA level.
