Two years ago, while starting Elfrid Payton at point guard, you’d be hard-pressed to find a Knicks fan that wouldn’t want Malcolm Brogdon, but 2022 is a whole different story.

The Pacers point guard averaged a promising 19.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.9 assists this past season, but due to injury, was only able to play in 36 games.

Given his lack of availability, and the Pacers’ roster, which is stacked with young guards like Tyrese Haliburton and Chris Duarte, the price would be a lot cheaper for New York now. But would it be worth it?

In his role, Brogdon would be great for the Knicks as a facilitator who can score the basketball, but they already have that in a younger, healthier Quickley.

Pass or pursue: Due to the lack of availability in recent years, as well as New York’s guards like Quickley, Rose, and Deuce McBride being on a similar level, this is one that in 2022, the Knicks should certainly pass on.
