6: John Wall

Despite how wrong the Kemba Walker experiment went in 2021-22, many people believe that the Knicks should kick the tires on Rockets point guard John Wall. The optics are a little different, but given how stubborn Thibodeau has been at some points, it’s not ideal to give him another veteran, injury-prone point guard.

If New York was closer to being a contender, bringing in Wall for depth might help, but with Derrick Rose on the roster, it’s just not a move that’s needed. Wall needs to prove he can stay healthy and compete right now, and while there are plenty of teams that could use his talents, the Knicks don’t have a need for him.

Pass or pursue: Out of everyone on the list, this is the biggest pass for New York, especially after the disaster that became Walker’s time with the Knicks.
