1: Donovan Mitchell

Donovan Mitchell has been on the mind of Knicks fans for over a year, especially when you consider his lack of playoff success in Utah and all of his connections to New York. Mitchell to the Knicks became even more possible after yet another playoff failure for the Jazz, but does New York want Spida?

Mitchell put up great scoring numbers with good efficiency in 2021-22, averaging 26 points per game for the second-straight year, but it was his lack of defensive effort in the playoffs that has many Knicks fans questioning this potential move.

If New York was able to unload Randle and another contract in this deal while retaining Quickley, Toppin, and Barrett, it’d be a no-brainer, but this deal rests on what Utah would want in return for one of its franchise’s shining stars.

Pass or pursue: If the Knicks can keep a lot of their young stars to pair with Mitchell, this is definitely a pursue, but if the Jazz want Barrett or a combination of 2+ young stars, New York should pass.
