Well, it was a fun ride but alas, the New York Knicks are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. They made a nice push late in the season, winning four consecutive contests, but have since dropped games to Charlotte and Cleveland to seal their fate. All’s well that ends well, folks.

Either way, it’s refreshing for fans to get to see the kids get more playing time because they’re the core of New York’s future at the end of the day.
Wednesday night’s game should be a fun one to watch, as the Nets and Knicks have a heated rivalry that will stand for as long as Brooklyn is competitive. New York just has to exist, good or bad, for the general public to care.
The Nets can have a team full of All-Stars from top to bottom and will still forever be viewed as the Knicks’ little brother when it comes to native New Yorkers. Perhaps things will change if they win a title, but we may never know.
