In case you’ve been living under a rock, March Madness is in full swing and it certainly has lived up to its “madness”. The round of 64, and then 32, brought us upsets that we’ll remember forever (along with busted brackets). There’s been a lot for New York Knicks fans to keep up with.

These upsets have caused some big-name prospects to leave the tournament early, such as Jabari Smith, Johnny Davis, Keegan Murray, and Shaedon Sharpe. While their draft stocks likely won’t be hindered, fans will no longer be able to watch them on the biggest stage.

However, now that we have the Sweet Sixteen, it’ll allow for some other names to have the spotlight and show NBA teams what they’ll bring to the next level.

3 Sweet Sixteen prospects the New York Knicks could draft in 2022

As for the Knicks… Well, while the play-in tournament hopes are technically still alive and the team’s playing “decent,” I’m not confident whatsoever that the Knicks will get the No. 10 seed in the East.

It’s been a season filled with disappointment, anger, false hope, depression, pain… I’ll stop there, but you get it.

New York needs to figure out what direction it’ll be going in and luckily, the upcoming draft could help with some of those decisions. RJ Barrett’s fully come onto the scene, becoming “our guy” and has shown the Knicks that he deserves to be the focal point to build around.

It’s been a frustrating season compared to just a year ago, but the core is still there nonetheless, and adding another talented prospect could make it even stronger.

So, let’s take a look at some prospects in the Sweet Sixteen that New York needs to keep an eye on.
