The New York Knicks will head into this offseason with more questions than answers. As the 2021-22 season continues to derail, this team and fanbase have seemingly turned their attention to the long-term outlook.

While there are certain roster pieces in place that are more or less cemented into next season, there are plenty of question marks still surrounding the team.

What are the New York Knicks’ most pressing offseason issues?

For a team like the Knicks, they want to balance two things: Creating a long-term foundation while also showing that they can be competitive in the present.

Last year’s success seemingly accelerated the rebuild, but this season’s plummet in the standings has undoubtedly set them back a bit. While the long-term approach is still there, the winning culture has certainly been absent from this year’s team.

New York will have a lot of tradeable contracts next season. The Knicks have some veterans locked into long-term deals as well. They also have important extensions on the horizon and it has the potential to be a busy year.

So, what exactly are going to be the most difficult decisions for New York as the regular season fades into the offseason?
