Where does Knicks’ RJ Barrett rank among NBA stars 22 and under?

Tier 3: The “Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder” Tier

10. Darius Garland

Fan Vote Rank: 9th

Data Rank: 10th

Media Rank: 7th

Average Rank: 8.7

9. Tyrese Haliburton

Fan Vote Rank:  10th

Data Rank: 6th

Media Rank: 10th

Average Rank: 8.7

8. Tyler Herro

Fan Vote Rank: 12th

Data Rank: 8th

Media Rank: 6th

Average Rank: 8.7

7. RJ Barrett

Fan Vote Rank: 6th

Data Rank: 12th

Media Rank: 8th

Average Rank: 8.7

There is no more perfect title for this tier because there is wild fluctuation in their rankings depending on the data point. Everyone in this tier had some area where they were sixth or seventh and some area where they were in double digits.

Barrett and Herro saw the most disparity as each player ranked as high as sixth in one category (yet again pitting these two against each other with fans and the media having wildly different opinions), and dead last in another.

The advanced data, meanwhile, loves Haliburton, even after spending his first year-and-a-half in the league playing for the Sacramento Kings. That has to stand for something.

Based on the fan vote, I don’t think any New York fans would trade Barrett for anyone else in this tier.
