After collapsing in the fourth quarter against the Philadelphia Sixers on Sunday, the New York Knicks will have a chance to redeem themselves on Wednesday night. The 25-36 Knicks are in 12th place in the East and the 37-23 Sixers are in third.

On Sunday, New York lost to Philadelphia, 125-109. RJ Barrett and Evan Fournier both scored 24 points and Immanuel Quickly had 21 off the bench. James Harden and Joel Embiid combined for 66 points.

Sixers fans are known to be relentless as is but the Knicks will be entering a tougher environment than usual. After saying that he felt like he was playing in Philadelphia three days ago at Madison Square Garden, Harden will make his much-awaited debut at Wells Fargo Center tonight.

Without backup center Nerlens Noel, Mitchell Robinson, and Jericho Sims will be tasked with finding a way to Embiid down low. Since the All-Star break, the MVP candidate is averaging 35 points and nine rebounds per game.

Will New York be able to pull out an upset and spoil Harden’s Sixers debut?

New York Knicks injury report

The Knicks will be without Derrick Rose (ankle), Quentin Grimes (kneecap), Kemba Walker (not with the team), and Luka Samanic (two-way). Even if Nerlens Noel (foot) is listed as active, he likely won’t play.

New York Knicks vs. Philadelphia Sixers prediction

As much as we want New York to break its five-game losing streak and escape with a victory, the probability of that happening is low. The Sixers have too many offensive weapons and have been dominant over the past few weeks, winning five of their last six games.

We’re taking the Sixers -11 and over 223.5 points.

Philadelphia 122, New York 107.
