Now that we are on the other side of the NBA Trade Deadline, the NY Knicks will try and push forward for the remainder of the season.

The conversation around this team and the murkiness in both the rest of this current season but what their long-term future has in store.

As of now, it’s going to be an uphill battle to keep up with the rest of the division.

NY Knicks: The state of the Atlantic Division

We knew that New York wasn’t going to be a championship contender. Really, this was year-2 of an “accelerated rebuild” that now feels like it has some wear and tear on the wheels after a blazing start.

So as the Knicks try to steer the course, finish out this season with some positivity, and look towards the future, how are the teams around them looking?

Interestingly enough, the other 4 Atlantic Division teams all currently make up seeds 5-8 in the Eastern Conference.

The NBA landscape changes a lot year-to-year, so are New York’s Atlantic Division rivals going to be around for years to come?
