These are two teams who have been floating around the rumor mill as potentially active teams at the trade deadline due to their struggles.

De’Aaron Fox has certainly been at the center of those rumors with the Knicks as a potential suitor, so they will get an up-close look at him tonight at the garden.

This is a big potential “get right” game for New York and it’s hard to see Sacrmento being able to pull this one off. The Knicks big fowards/wings of Evan Fournier, RJ Barrett, and Julius Randle will go up against some vastly inferior defenders in Harrison Barnes and Buddy Hield.

Barrett has played some of the best basketball of his NBA career over the last month and should continue to put on against this Kings defense — I’d expect him to hit 20 points.

New York has infamously played up and down to their competition, so the 6.5 point spread isn’t ideal, but they should still be able to pull it off.

The Knicks need this game, otherwise, a fanbase that’s already in panic mode will reach defcon 5.
