New York Knicks: Who would they trade?

A lot of fans’ frustrations have been towards the team’s starters.

Julius Randle is always and the center of criticism, but it’s not exactly realistic to believe that he’s going to be moved.

The player who made an All-NBA Team, penned a letter to the Player’s Tribune about his love for the city, and then signed an extension where he took a pay cut with the team, is not getting traded.

Even if Randle was getting traded, it would have to be in a deal for a bigger star player, which isn’t on the table right now.

The other popular name is Evan Fournier, who has underachieved since signing a 3-year deal this past offseason.

I don’t think the New York Knicks are giving up on him just yet. Even if they were, what would selling low on Fournier even bring in return? A player similar to Fournier?

It’s going to be hard to find a team that would take on that money.

The other free agent signing, Kemba Walker, has been the best story in the city lately. It’s hard to imagine they could get a player who’s better than Walker in a trade that involves him. Why would they try to trade the leader whose shown the best attitude of anyone on the team so far this season?

Even the Knicks’ younger players: RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, Obi Toppin, Quentin Grimes, and Miles McBride, I’m not sure what kind of deal you can put them in.

This roster certainly has the flexibility to change and fluctuate, but there doesn’t seem like their big assets are likely to be on the move.
