#4: Stephen Curry breaks out with 54 points at Madison Square Garden

This felt like another significant regular-season moment in the grand scheme of NBA history.

This was more than just a regular-season game in February between two teams who rarely play against one another. This game felt like the birth of the Steph Curry we know today. The one who is going to very likely break Ray Allen’s 3-point record.

The image is still seared into anyone who watched this game live: Steph Curry, unconscious, shimmying his way down the court, almost as if he was doing the Bernie dance over a stunned MSG crowd.

This was a baby Steph Curry. Mark Jackson was the head coach and they were an emerging young team in the Western Conference.

This game was in February of 2013, the Knicks’ best season in recent memory. Not only were the Knicks really good, but they were also straight-up dominant at home. New York was 31-10 at home that season.

Steph Curry was truly the baby-faced assassin back then and this was the assassin completely taking over the game. Curry shot 11-13 from 3 in this game.

Even with his historic performance, the Knicks won the game. Carmelo Anthony finished with 35 points and 8 assists, Tyson Chandler had 16 points and (An almost equally mind-blowing) 28 rebounds on the glass.

Still, this was a seismic moment in NBA history.
