#5: Michael Jordan is back. At Madison Square Garden

This was an important moment at an important time in NBA history.

The explosion in popularity for the NBA was largely due to their global icon, Michael Jordan. At a time of 1990s basketball where there was a plethora of All-time talent who would serve as memorable side characters and storyline, it was always Michael Jordan who was the main character.

And the NBA was without its leading man, who took a hiatus from basketball in 1993 before returning in 1995.

Jordan didn’t look the same player in his first few games back. Until he played the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

There are so many components that made this a legendary game in the larger scope of NBA history. Jordan was donning the #45 and not his usual #23 jersey.

This game was what would get the Chicago Bulls back on track and a game they would end up winning 113-11.

Michael Jordan returned back to his dominant self, scoring 55 points on 21-37 from the field.

It was one of many famous Michael Jordan games at the Garden.
