Pro #1: Myles Turner improves the New York Knicks frontcourt

When Myles Turner’s name has come up in the past, I have admittedly been hesitant to declare him as someone you give up a ton of assets for.

I had always been a little skeptical of Turner’s overall impact and shooting, however, he has made some big strides in his game this season. He’s having maybe his best season yet.

Turner, who typically averages close to 46% from the field and 34% from 3-point range, has seen those numbers spike to career-highs of 53.1% from the field and 39.7% from three.

Turner isn’t a premier scorer at the center position but he would be the Knicks’ most talented offensive center by a country mile.

Aside from the jump shot, Turner has a few hook shots in his arsenal. Adding his talent on offense could give the Knicks 5 players who are all a threat to score with the ball in their hands. Defenses would certainly have to pay more attention to Myles Turner than they do Mitchell Robinson or Nerlens Noel.

As a shot blocker, Myles Turner is one of the league’s best. He’s an athletic big whose versatility would bring another dimension o the Knicks’ frontcourt.

We have seen flashes of great play from Mitchell Robinson but he hasn’t gotten close to the consistent level of production that Turner brings.
