Wanna begin this piece by apologizing to all New York Knicks fans after my last betting odds and prediction article, as I was dead wrong across the board.

I guess that’s just what happens when you’re as die-hard orange and blue as I am.

Granted, the Knicks should have been able to beat Saturday’s version of the Nuggets…the version that’s missing a number of key players, most notably Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr.

But the fact is, there’s genuinely just something wrong with today’s Knicks team and nobody knows just what it is.

There’s just something different about the team, most notably the two biggest stars on the team, Julius Randle and RJ Barrett.

But I digress.

This game couldn’t be more of a ‘must-win’ situation for NY, especially being against a tough but struggling Spurs team.

The Spurs have a talented, young roster but they’re not really playing for anything right now other than a better draft pick.

But this is the type of team that likes to play spoilers against teams that should beat them, as evidenced by their win over Golden State on Saturday.

Will the New York Knicks cover the spread against San Antonio?

As per WynnBet, the Knicks are favored by 3 on the road and the Over/Under is set at 213 points.

In just the last few days, Coach Tom Thibodeau both called out RJ Barrett over his shooting woes AND threatened that there could be more changes to the rotation if the team doesn’t start to string together some wins.

It seems like it’s ‘Put up or Shut up’ time for the Knickerbockers and I’m hoping the team heeds Thibs’ warnings as he’s proven that anyone could be on a short leash.

Just ask Kemba Walker, who could very well be traded soon after being removed from the rotation.

RJ seems like the type of kid that’ll take Coach’s criticism and use it as fuel to his fire, so I’d expect a bounce-back game from ‘The Maple Mamba’.

San Antonio might be without Devin Vassell for this game as well, who’s been a key contributor for the Spurs this season.

The Knicks haven’t played since Saturday while the Spurs are currently playing in Phoenix as this is being written.

San Antonio not only has to fly back home tonight but they have to be ready to suit up for a back-to-back against a desperate Knicks squad who’s had ample rest time.

Prediction: While the Spurs have won 4 of their last 5 prior to the Suns game that’s being played as we speak, and while the Knicks have lost 4 of their last 5…

I gotta go with the Orange and Blue here.

As much as I wanna say they’ll easily cover the 3-point spread…who knows anything anymore about this team.

My gut says they pull out the win in Texas, so my bet would be to go Moneyline at -145.

As far as the Over/Under, San Antonio ranks 25th in the league in Offensive Rating, while the Knicks rank 21st.

A lot of the money seems to be going to the Under, and why wouldn’t it? Both teams rank in the bottom 10 of the league on offense.

But, the Spurs have the 5th highest percentage of going Over this season at 52.6%.

The Knicks go Under 56.5% of the time, but they’re the more well-rested team going into this game and they’re gonna have to put up points to beat this young, hungry San Antonio Squad.

Final Verdict: If the Knicks win, it’ll be more than 3…but I’m taking Moneyline -145 and the Over.

The Under would just be too obvious and I think the oddsmakers want the public to take the Under in this one.

Get ready for some fireworks.
