With Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau announcing that starting point guard Kemba Walker would be completely removed from the team’s rotation, questions about the next steps for New York’s lineup and rotation immediately emerged.

Right now, New York is going to roll with Alec Burks as the starting point guard, with increased playing time for Immanuel Quickley and potentially more minutes from rookie Quentin Grimes.

Amidst the point guard change, A. Sherrod Blakely of Bleacher Report reported that “A source close to the Knicks indicated New York may also have a potential trade partner in the Houston Rockets, who are eager to move John Wall.”

Are the Knicks considering John Wall?

Unless New York starts to plummet in the standings, I wouldn’t expect any kind of drastic change just yet. We are still a few months out from the trade deadline and NY is going to try and see what this current team can do.

Still, there should be some interest in a player like John Wall. Yes, yes, yes, we know. He’s not the same player he once was.

Still, there’s a lot of room for improvement for New York and John Wall is certainly a player who could provide an upgrade.

First, let’s look at John Wall the player and how he would fit with the team.
