Will Evan Fournier play a huge role in the playoffs for the NY Knicks?

Evan Fournier is the type of guy that’ll come out of nowhere and straight-up win a game all on his own for the Knicks.

This was quickly evidenced by his outstanding performance on Opening Night against his former team, the Celtics.

He finished the double-overtime thriller with 32 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists while shooting 47% from the field and 6 of 13 from deep.

A few of those 3’s came at just the right time to solidify the win for the Knicks.

Fournier is averaging 19 points per game over 4 contests so far, and even though that’ll likely drop over time, he’s still going to be a major component for the team moving forward.

He’s never made an All-Star team in his career and that’s not likely to ever change, but he’s already become such a massive upgrade over last year’s Reggie Bullock.

Just his ability to not only shoot the 3-ball extremely well, but he can put the ball on the floor and create his own shot as well as create for others has proven to be huge for the Knicks.

And so far, he’s showing that he’s not as bad on defense as he’s been made out to be either.

He comes with 19 games of playoff experience under his belt and has the attitude of a life-long New Yorker.

The Knicks certainly won’t lose any games by having Fournier on the court, but they sure as hell are going to win plenty because of him.
