It’s Spooky SZN, but there’s nothing Spooky about the outlook of the NY Knicks‘ season.

They could easily be 4-0 right now, but after everything we the fans have been through over the years, I don’t think any of us are gonna complain very much about a very solid 3-1 start.

Clearly, the Knicks are the far superior team when compared to the Magic but it seemed as if they just took the night off, so it is what it is.

We’ve got a very special matchup tonight against the currently undefeated Chicago Bulls on deck.

The Bulls are gonna be honoring former New York and Chicago Center Joakim Noah before the game…and it’s no coincidence that it’s happening when the Knicks are in town.

Bulls fans and Knicks fans have two very different perspectives on Noah.

The Bulls got the very best version of him, one who received MVP votes at one point in his career whereas the Knicks received an unmotivated, oft-injured version of Noah that was so bad and so rarely played that the Knicks are still paying him even years after his last appearance on the roster.

Would you consider either of these Spooky trades for the NY Knicks?

Derrick Rose, Tom Thibodeau, and Taj Gibson returning ‘home’ was most certainly a part of the plan as well.

But back to the article…

Full disclosure, I don’t think the Knicks should make any trades at all this season.

I love every part of this team and honestly wouldn’t have it any other way for at the very least the entire season into the summer.

A trade for a Superstar is inevitable but I don’t see how any of the potentially available names would make any sense for the Knicks in the near future.

I’d prefer they wait until younger guys like Spida and Book are nearing the ends of their current contracts for the Knicks to make a big splash.

But if some smaller trades were to happen and the Knicks were offered a deal they couldn’t refuse, I’d be all for it.

With that said, here are two recently mentioned names that could be available via trade in the near future that the Knicks could potentially explore before the trade deadline.
