New York Knicks: Full regular season schedule predictions
New York Knicks — April: Rev those engines!
Saturday, April 2, 1:00 p.m. – vs Cleveland
It’s on! April means one thing – playoff time. The Knicks will get two full days off to flip that mindset to full throttle and what a game to start it off against with the Cleveland Cavaliers. I’m sorry for offending any Cavs supporters who thought they might sneak this one out against New York, but there’s just no way.
Knicks record: 43-35
Sunday, April 3, 6:00 p.m. – at Orlando
This is the final back-to-back game for the New York Knicks and thank goodness it comes against another team with pretty low odds at being good this season. The Magic are also not going to be too ramped up to win games in April, so it should be a Knicks wash. It’s also a game in which Evan Fournier might just want to ball out for no specific reason.
Knicks record: 44-35
Wednesday, April 6, 7:30 p.m. – vs Brooklyn
No matter how well New York is doing at this point (8 out of their last 11 by my count) this won’t end in a win. Brooklyn just has too much to play for and despite coming off a back-to-back themselves, it might be one of the last games they choose to play their stars before the playoffs begin.
Knicks record: 44-36
Friday, April 8, 7:00 p.m. – at Washington
New York’s final road game against a team that will likely be in the NBA playoffs is all the way back on March 25th against Miami. I’ll apologize for ripping the NBA’s scheduling efforts to at least commend them for that. Pencil in the dub for the New York Knicks.
Knicks record: 45-36
Sunday, April 10, TBD – vs Toronto
This is pretty impressive on my part. Only I can attest this but I’m a man of my word. Before I even began writing this article, I predicted a record of 45-37 for the New York Knicks this season. I came pretty darn close, but I’ll take the extra win against the Raptors. I know it’s not a write-off game, but New York at home on Sunday is normally a pretty good bet.
Knicks Regular Season Record: 46-36
