The New York Knicks head into the 2021-22 NBA season with loads of expectations. A 4-seed and playoff appearance will do that, especially as the Knicks found their star in Julius Randle last year. An offseason that brought born and bred New Yorker Kemba Walker and Olympian Evan Fournier adds to the hype of this refueled team.

How the New York Knicks schedule might unfold, game by game.

All of this contributes to what might be the loftiest expectations the New York Knicks have received since 2013.

Now an entire offseason has passed, taking Twitter battles over who had the best offseason to the actual court. The New York Knicks will use the preseason to fine-tune for (fingers crossed) the first 82-game regular season since 2018-19. From then on, it’ll be a race – but not a sprint – to see if New York is truly capable of building on an unbelievable 2020-21 season.

Every month, week, and day will be a new test for the Knicks. The rest of the NBA is on watch, so there will be some growing pains adjusting to that. Teams won’t be fooled twice, putting head coach Tom Thibodeau and his roster in a full-out dogfight every night. Taking all of that into consideration, I’ve locked in my predictions.
