Who Should the New York Knicks’ closer? Option 1: Kemba Walker

Cardiac Kemba, a stone-cold killer in the clutch.  Nobody in New York City deserves to get the ball in the big moments than the Knicks starting point guard.

Kemba Walker is no stranger to MSG game-winning shots, as he hit one of the most clutch shots in NCAA Basketball history to send his UCONN Huskies to March Madness, which the Huskies would ultimately win, mainly because of Walker.

Walker’s clutch ability has channeled very well to the NBA over the last 10 years.

Walker has a ton of upside on a 2 year/18 million dollar deal with a team option next year, so he will have to show the Knicks he can still perform.  The Knicks have struggled to find the guy to lead them in the clutch since the departure of Carmelo Anthony… which was somehow already 4 years ago.

Walker is no stranger to having the ball in his hands at the end of games. He’s also been in a similar situation as Randle, as Walker has also been the guy everyone in the arena knew would get the ball no matter how prepared the defense was for him.

Walker has seen it all in the clutch, but nothing seems to shake him.  He loves the moment; if he did not, he would never have signed with the Knicks, giving up 20 million dollars to do so.

Nobody on the Knicks creates their shot better than Kemba Walker; mix that with Walker’s ability to step it up in the clutch, and this is not only the clear option for the Knicks but one of the premier clutch options in the NBA.
