New York Knicks 2017 Re-Draft: Picks 4-7

Pick Analysis. Guard. . #4. Scouting Report. De'Aaron Fox. player. 66

De’Aaron Fox has quietly built a nice career for himself on sub-par Sacramento teams. The 2017 fifth overall pick has become one of the best scorers in the league (25.2 points per game last season).

His game-changing speed and athleticism would fit well alongside Devin Booker and the upstart Phoenix offense. Lock him in at #4.

player. Scouting Report. . Center. John Collins. #5. 84. Pick Analysis

While the Kings just miss out on selecting Fox, they do land their long-term replacement for the recently departed Demarcus Cousins. Highflier John Collins brings his highlight-reel dunks to Sacramento where he forms a unique frontcourt tandem with fellow lottery pick Willie Cauley-Stein.

38. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Guard. #6. player. . Lonzo Ball

This feels like a good pairing for both parties. Lonzo Ball lands in a good situation where he can start immediately and thrive without the headaches of a major market. The Magic also land a PG that helps them move away from the Elfrid Payton experiment.

Ball is slated to suit up for his third franchise in five years when he starts for the Chicago Bulls this season. Perhaps a landing spot in Orlando would also him to find his stride in a consistent, stable, environment.

Lonzo has become a legitimate NBA starter. My guess is that his ceiling reaches a higher point in this re-draft scenario.

player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Guard. . 86. OG Anunoby. #7

OG Anunoby joins a sneaky good Wolves roster. For one fleeting season, Minnesota employed a postseason caliber depth chart that featured Jimmy Butler, Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins, and Jamal Crawford.

The addition of Anunoby would allow Butler to shift to small forward, with Anunoby at shooting guard, and Wiggins as the stretch-four.

Who knows how the long-term roster is affected by his presence? But, at the very least, he adds for firepower during this single season of success.
