The New York Knicks’ addition of Kemba Walker has the city amped up for next season.

With the Knicks bringing back largely the same roster as last season and signing Evan Fournier and Kemba Walker, there is already a strong expectation that this team can build off of their success from last season.

New York Knicks: Kemba Walker will have a major impact

It seems like New York Knicks fans have a good sense about what to expect from Walker. This is a player who can put up big numbers at the point guard position but will need to have his health monitored throughout the season.

The value of Walker isn’t just his individual play — it’s the fantastic contract value in which the Knicks got him, his experience being an elite player in the NBA, and of course, his NYC roots.

With Elfird Payton’s departure, Kemba Walker will be taking on the starting point guard role for the Knicks and his game could alter the entire offense.

This is a veteran point guard maestro. He may not be 27-year-old All-Star Kemba Walker, but when he was on the court last year, he was pretty damn close.

Walker’s arrival could lead to an uptick in the win column, but more specifically, it could lead to further growth from individual players. The Knicks haven’t had a backcourt of this caliber in quite some time.

Whose game will Kemba Walker impact the most?
