New York Knicks — Game 7 vs. The Toronto Raptors

81. 0. . Monday, November 1. 27. . 7:30 PM ET. 0

The New York Knicks head into November riding high on a 5-game win streak. That 5-1 is looking real nice in the standings.

They head back home to face a Toronto Raptors team that is trying to bounce back after a rough 2020 season.

This is an Atlantic Division team that has prided itself on being a competitive team for the better part of the last decade. This is a roster that is retooling and trying to get right back in the Eastern Conference playoff mix.

The Raptors may have lost Kyle Lowry in free agency but this is still a deep roster with a nice blend of both veterans and young talent.

The Knicks lost their first matchup with the Raptors last season and won their final two. I expect it to be something similar this season.

The Raptors may not have the same hype as the Knicks, Hawks, Heat, Celtics, and other teams in the conference, but this is a seasoned team with a head coach in Nick Nurse who is going to make sure his team comes to play every night. I’d imagine the first meeting between these two teams is going to be close.

Toronto has some very effective defenders and schemes, and it’s going to be fun to watch the Knicks perimeter players match up with Fred VanVleet, Scottie Barnes, and OG Anunoby.

This could be a competitive battle, but the Knicks hang on in the Garden and win on a Cardiac Kemba stepback jump shot. He runs to the scorer’s table and points to the “New York” on his chest. Scenes.
