New York Knicks — Game 2 @ The Orlando Magic

0. 7:00 PM ET. . Friday, Oct 22. 38. . 0. 27

Coming off of a tough, emotional loss to the Boston Celtics in the home opener, the New York Knicks are going to keep their heads held high and move on to the next one. There are still 81 games left.

In their 2nd game, the Knicks will travel to Florida and take on the Orlando Magic.

There’s no other way to look at it, the Orlando Magic are in rebuild mode.

After trading Nikola Vucevic at last year’s trade deadline and collecting a pair of first round picks, the Orlando Magic have committed to a full-throttle youth movement.

They have a pretty talented bank of young talent to work with. Jalen Suggs, Franz Wagner, R.J. Hampton, Cole Anthony, Wendell Carter Jr., Jonathan Isaac, and Markelle Fultz are all players with unknown, yet promising potential.

This is a team that is really in their first year of full-rebuild commitment and it’s hard to see them making much noise in the Eastern Conference standings.

The East is an improved conference from last season, with teams like the Raptors, Wizards, and Bulls all threatening for playoff spots. Really, the only teams who you can say with complete confidence will not make the playoffs are the Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons, and the Orlando Magic.

This shouldn’t be much of a contest. The Knicks have too much firepower and experience to drop 0-2 in a game against the Orlando Magic.
