New York Knicks: Immanuel Quickley Stats Projection 2021-22

- 13.9 Points Per Game
- 3.0 Assists Per Game
- 1.0 Steals Per Game
- .1 Blocks Per Game

There’s going to be an uptick in production for Immanuel Quickley next season.
While some may think the arrival of Kemba Walker will further knockdown Quickley’s playing time, I tend to think he’s going to be playing slightly heavier minutes. Anytime Rose or Walker have to miss a game, Quickley will likely jump to 25-30 minutes.
Not only that, but I don’t expect Walker’s minutes to be that much more than Elfrid Payton’s last season. In 2019-20, Payton started in 63/72 games and averaged 23.6 minutes per game.
On a fully healthy New York Knicks roster, Quickley will assume that same role as an off-the-bench, range-extending flamethrower. He’s a special shooter, and I think we may see that reflected in his traditional stats this season — I have him for over 40% from 3 and over 90% from the line.
It's often difficult for rookies to provide positive value, even if they have great potential. Per impact metrics RAPTOR & BPM, who's already contributing?

Quickley has more all-around talent than he’s given credit for. He fights and communicates well on defense, and hid more than just flash some point guard skills in Summer League, he looked comfortable initiating offense.
It may not be a huge leap this season, but I fully expect Immanuel Quickley to grade out extremely well in advanced metrics and increase his role on the team. He’s on the right trajectory.
