New York Knicks 5 Key Games: An end of season battle with Brooklyn

7:30 ET. 0. ESPN. 0. 27. 147. Wed, April 6.

Yup, it’s another battle with the Nets. This time, it’s the 3rd last game of the season and it’ll be at Madison Square Garden.

This will be the final regular-season battle between the two teams and it’s hard to imagine that it won’t have some implications for the Eastern Conference standings. With the season almost over, a safe guess would be that the Nets are fighting for positioning among the top-3 and the New York Knicks are jostling somewhere in the 4-6 seed range.

This is going to a playoff-like atmosphere at Madison Square Garden.

There’s always a buzz when these two teams play. From the Nets side, it’s a “look at these loser Knicks they wish they had our big-3” energy. From the Knicks side, it’s a “Can you guys just leave our city already and take your matcha lattes with a dash of cinnamon with you” energy.

The Nets have the firepower to win it all, but their question is always going to be health. Can they head into the playoffs with a healthy Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and James Harden?

For the Knicks, they could find themselves in a similar position to last season where the final few games could dictate where they end up in the final standings.

The final game on this list is going to have a playoff atmosphere and then some.
