New York Knicks 5 Key Games: 1st Matchup with the Brooklyn Nets
If there’s anything that gets a New Yorker’s blood boiling, it’s the mere mention of the Brooklyn Nets’ existence.
It may sound dramatic. It is dramatic.
For so long, New York has been a basketball-crazed city and has been dreaming of the day when the New York Knicks win a championship. Anytime the Knicks can even sniff an 8th seed, the buzz around the team takes over the city, and it’s that kind of crazed fandom and hype that has often lead to the media circus that surrounds NY.
With years of dysfunction surrounding the Knicks, In comes the Brooklyn Nets, who in the last few years have done nothing but keep their heads down and create a terrific culture within their organization, which in turn has led to them being able to form arguably the most talented big-3 in NBA history in Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden.
The Nets swept the Knicks in the regular season and New York will have their first chance for revenge when they play at the Barclays Center on November 30th, another nationally televised game.
New York will be the clear underdog here, and if they pull off a win against the Nets, you know the city will be amped up.
Next on the list is a matchup with one of NY’s most historic rivals.
