NY Knicks: Player comparisons for each of NY’s 2021 draft picks

They say not to overreact to the Summer League but unfortunately, I’ve already fallen in love with several of the new faces donning NY Knicks uniforms.

Miles McBride and Jericho Sims have shown flashes of being very special players while Quentin Grimes and Rokas Jokubaitis have also shown that they can become solid contributors one day.

I think it’s safe to say that we’ll see both Sims and McBride get a respectable amount of playing time during this upcoming season.

Who would you compare to the NY Knicks’ 2021 draft picks?

Now, when it comes to my player comparisons, I just want to make things clear…

Some of the players I’ll be comparing our Knicks rookies to are multiple-time All-Stars, some are incredible role players, and some are solid starting-caliber talents.

In no way do I believe after the small sample size of production we’ve seen so far that any of these players will one day become who I’ll be comparing them to.

But the eye test rarely ever lies.

All in all, I think the front office did a great job for two seasons consecutively, and even if these players never realize their full potential, I still believe they’ll all find a way to contribute at the next level.
