For some, the NY Knicks‘ draft and free agency have been a bit lackluster. For others, it’s exactly what they had expected.

After a multitude of trades on draft night, bringing in Evan Fournier and otherwise keeping the rest of the band together, the Knicks are basically telling the rest of the league that last season was not a fluke.

They believe that there was room for improvement but also that the team in the way it was constructed was actually as good as advertised.

If they can come close to replicating the same results as they had last season, it’ll quickly prove the naysayers wrong.

Should the NY Knicks consider either of these two trades this offseason?

Guys like Julius Randle and RJ Barrett have already shown that they’re both the type to take their ‘L’s’ on the chin and work on their craft in the offseason.

They’re both notoriously hard workers and we should see a better version of both of them in the 2021-22 season.

Assuming that we’ll see improvement from guys like Immanuel Quickley and Obi Toppin as well, I’m excited to see what the new season can bring.

Now that the draft is over and the bulk of the big moves in free agency have already been made, the Knicks’ roster still has some question marks left.

The roster as a whole looks nearly complete on paper, but to the trained eye, there’s a gap here and there.

Also, some of the signings that the Knicks made on Monday left me scratching my head a bit.

So here I’ll be discussing what I think the front office’s plans are from here and why I believe that there could be some trades coming as well.
